Second album from Flying Nun outcasts THE SKEPTICS. From the North Island of New Zealand the band were never aligned with the Dunedin Sound from the south which was dominant in Flying Nun's early-mid 1980's releases. Recorded in their own purpose built Writhe Studios in Wellington, 1987's "III" is a sonically diverse due to the bands integration of early sampling technology. "III"'s scrappy guitars are supplemented with beefy bass riffs drawing parallels of bands such as Nine Inch Nails which were to come. Re-issued for the first time on vinyl to coincide the release of a documentary on the band.
