The legends and mysteries of Capri have inspired the duo that Marie Modiano and Peter von Poehl have been working together for almost twenty years on their second album, Capri: Ballad of the Spirits, to be released on their Nest & Sound label. Three years after the graceful gothic tale Songs From The Other Side, which was widely acclaimed by the critics and gave rise to a show staged at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The Franco-Swedish couple, who are fast becoming iconic and have no equal when it comes to interweaving airy poetry and pointillist pop, here summon the spirits and celebrate the majesty of the Isola Azzurra on a soundtrack enhanced by the groove of drummer Larry Mullins(Nick Cave, Iggy Pop) and superb brass arrangements.
