Savourna Stevenson is known for breaking stylistic barriers while maintaining her Scottish roots. She has collaborated with musicians such as Aly Bain, Eddi Reader and Toumani Diabate and is acclaimed for recent orchestral and choral works. The composer/harpist has written a considerable body of work for choirs, including commissions for the National Youth Choirs of Scotland, Cappella Nova and a commission by the Scottish Vocal Ensemble for a Scottish carol, which premiered at Holyrood Palace in December 2019.
