Martha High has been an essential part of James Brown's career for over 30 years, initially gaining recognition with her band The Jewels, who scored a hit with "Opportunity" in 1964. That same year, she joined the James Brown Revue, serving as his personal vocalist and collaborating on several singles, including "Georgy Girl" and "Summertime."After launching her solo career in 1979, she released five albums and became a lead singer for Maceo Parker's band. Throughout her remarkable career, High has performed alongside legendary artists like Aretha Franklin, Prince, and Michael Jackson. This new release marks another exciting chapter in her illustrious journey in music.
