Destruction Horizon is the 2nd album from UK musician Laura Cannell under the alias Hunteress. The ten tracks feature Cannell's vocals, electronics & instruments digging deep into ideas of folklore, history, plant-lore, and her own freeform semi-improvised songwriting to create 'Synth-pop Moonlit Torch-songs'. The title is inspired by the name of the layer of earth containing burnt artefacts, ash and soot that archaeologists refer to as the Destruction Horizon which 'denotes a past catastrophic event', in this case the layer left by the revolt in AD 60 led by Boudicca, Queen of the East Anglian Iceni Tribe.
