This is the first soloalbum by SONGS: OHIA frontman JASON MOLINA. He needs nothing more than his guitar, serving as a kind of pulse, and his voice to lull the listener to a place remembered only at the quietest of moments. (O.K., he plays piano on one track...). His vocal performance is gut-wrenching, it seems almost as if he'd be singing to himself only, never to be heard by anyone else. But thanks to producer MIKE MOGIS (BRIGHT EYES, THE FAINT,... ) who superbly caught the sonic ghosts surrounding MOLINA he can be heard now. Although this album is released on vinyl only, there will be a ferr CD copy of the album that comes along with every LP.
