Sacramento's Destroy Boys combine garage punk, pop, hardcore, and indie rock to create their raw, forward-thinking California punk sound, as heard on 2021's Hopeless Records-issued Open Mouth, Open Heart. The band was founded in 2015 as an acoustic duo by Alexia Roditis (guitar/vocals) and Violet Mayugba (guitar/vocals), who cite a wide array of influences, including Misfits, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dog Party, the Who, Lady Gaga, and Bikini Kill.
