Recorded in session on tape (tape machine borrowed from Mario Thaler/The Notwist from Weilheim) by Tobias Siebert, the ninepieces lay hypnotic carpets under German-language lyrics. Musically, they oscillate between indie pop and post-punk. Avant-garde drums, completely uninhibited guitars and undisguised vocals. Perspectives are taken, boundaries are explored and the music is pointed. Politics is only a side note, but its impact on the actions and ideas of the protagonists seems enormous. In many respects, Das Feuilleton is reminiscent of the 90s, which are coming back into fashion. Energetic guitar music in a three-piece line-up.
