Somehow Beatles seems to have become more a term than a band very early on: a feeling, a colour, a time, a phase, a way, signs. That's why the new album by the band Chuckamuck is called "beatles" and not "The Beatles" even if the band keeps on appearing over and over. The three Berliners seem to have gotten into their fourth studio album piece by piece, until the title became inevitable. Much rather than indie, postpunk, garage we hear a poetic country band that plays with the Beatles characters and with other Westerns like coming from El Pesoburg. Warm sounds and sadly beautiful.
