Bereits während der 1980er-Jahre befand sich das belgische Label Crammed auf der Suche nach immer neuen musikalischen Formen und Fusionen. Jenseits stilistischer und geografischer Grenzen vermischten sich Elemente der Weltmusik mit Rock und Elektronik. Den nachfolgenden Trends war man so oft weit voraus. Die Compilation-Reihe "Crammed Global Soundclash 1980-89" präsentiert nun einige der Juwelen dieser künstlerisch so fruchtbaren Zeit. Der erste Teil beleuchtet die bunten Facetten der Weltmusik.
