TRANSIENT is the name of the new album by the heavy psychedelic rock band GREAT RIFT from Vienna. In seven songs, the band tells a story about the eternal departure from one's own transience. Life as a turbulent odyssey, accompanied by dangers, fears and longings, as well as a journey of hope, courage and confidence in our infinite universe. GREAT RIFT manages it on TRANSIENT, to musically wrap this seemingly heavy but also timeless theme in a soundscape that seamlessly follows on from its predecessor UTOPIA. The band is even able to impressively demonstrate its further development on a musical level. The band combines the singer's usual concise, polarising vocals with heavy riffs, driving beats and melodic, playful sounds in their songs. The virtuoso songwriting reflects the heaviness of the subject matter as well as the overwhelming and powerful sound of the production. It is a rollercoaster ride on all emotional levels, which once again catapults the listener on a journey into consciousness.
