On the album "At the Heart of A Selkie", the singer/songwriter Eivor, together with the writer Marjun Syderbo Kjælnes, the composer Peter Jensen, the Danish National Choir Ensemble and the Danish Radio Big Band, interprets a musical drama that is deeply rooted in Nordic legends. The story of the Selkies, the ocean, love - and the conflict between nature and man. At the Heart of a Selkie" is a musical narrative about the Selkie women; it is abstract but very sensitive. A fairy tale with an exciting plot but also a moral claim in a unique soundscape, created with samples from nature by sound artist Morten Büchert and hymns by Thomas Kingo playing in the background.
