Record Kicks proudly presents "Origin of Forms," the vibrant debut album by Moscow-based funk band The Diasonics, set for release on January 28, 2022, in limited edition LP, CD, and digital formats. This album is preceded by the instrumental soul single "Gurami," available on limited edition 45 vinyl and digital.The Diasonics describe their music as "hussar funk," a captivating blend of deep funk instrumentals, Eastern European influences, hip-hop rhythms, and psychedelia. The album was recorded using an 8-channel Otari MX-5050 MK III tape recorder at their Magnetone Studio in Moscow and mixed by Henry Jenkins in Melbourne. With 12 tracks showcasing their eclectic style, "Origin of Forms" features the Eastern funk vibes of "Almandine" and "Salmanazar," the trip-hop groove of "Spiders" and "Andromeda," and the cinematic moods of "Origin" and "Affair." The instrumental soul tracks "Kayana" and "Balance" further enrich the album's diverse sound, creating a hypnotic listening experience that balances melancholy with infectious dance energy.Formed in 2019, The Diasonics consist of five talented musicians: Anton Moskvin (drums), Maxim Brusov (bass guitar), Anton Katyrin (percussions), Daniil Lutsenko (electric guitar), and Kamil Gzizov (keyboards).
