This album follows "DECADE," which celebrated the band's 10-year anniversary in 2018, and marks a new beginning for the group. Over the past decade, CALIBRO 35 has explored the golden age of soundtracks, and with "Momentum," they aim to reflect contemporary musical landscapes.The album draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists, including Tortoise, DJ Shadow, Ennio Morricone, and JPEGMafia. It features 10 tracks that showcase a more complex and expanded sound palette, integrating additional synths and electronic elements while maintaining a commitment to live instrumentation without any programming. The album includes notable collaborations, such as the first single "Stan Lee," featuring rapper Illa J, and "Black Moon," which showcases London-based artist MEI.CALIBRO 35 describes "Momentum" as a precursor to the future of their music, encapsulating their evolution over the next decade. The recording took place in the same studio where they produced their debut album, bringing their journey full circle.
