The American country rock band The Flying Burrito Brothers was formed in Los Angeles in 1968 by Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman. The band is still considered one of the forefathers of the Americana style, without which later bands like the Eagles or Poco would not have existed. Eagles guitarist Bernie Leadon was a member of the Burritos from 1969 to 1971. The band broke up in 1972, but reformed two years later with a new lineup. After touring extensively, the new Burritos recorded "Flying Again", which was released on Columbia in 1975, and the critically acclaimed "Airborne" a year later.
