Brinsley Schwarz were a British country-pub rock band who recorded six albums between 1969 and 1975. Stylistically, they were heavily influenced by the American country rock band Eggs Over Easy, making them the forefathers of the British pub rock movement. In addition to the country influences, pub rock was musically a throwback to the 1960s, when the beat and R&B music wave created a vibrant nationwide live music club scene. Besides Brinsley Schwarz, bands like Dr. Feelgood, Kilburn & The Highrods, Joe Strummer"s 101"ers, Starry Eyed And Laughing, Ace or Ducks Deluxe took the stages of pubs and clubs in the UK by storm.
