Iggy Pop premieres new album
The terrorist attacks at the Bataclan, BOWIE’s death, and IGGY POP? He is still rolling!
March 18 he is set to release his 17th studio album "Post Pop Depression,“full of references to the news of the last months. QUOTSA’s JOSH HOMME was heavily involved in the production and songwriting of the record. With backup from Homme, Iggy goes back to his early Berlin solo sound as heard on “Lust For Life.”
Especially the teaser track “Gardenia” that the two recently performed at Stephen Colbert (must watch!) sounds a lot like a song his Berlin buddy DAVID BOWIE could have written. But even though reminiscing about the late 70s, the record sounds fresh and exciting. And Iggy still seems to be pushing for more. After all, Iggy is alive and well!
