Julian's Treatment was formed in late 1960s London, at the tail-end of the psychedelic era, which morphed into the early progressive rock scene. Band leader Julian Jay Savarin, of French/Mayan descent, left Dominica in the early 60s to study law in the UK. His fascination with space and aviation led him to join the R.A.F. before immersing himself in London's exciting underground music scene. The cosmically enhanced debut (double concept) album by Julian's Treatment, titled: A Time Before This, was released in 1970 and has gone on to be a cult classic of the era.
